Flickr has confirmed that they have removed photos of Egyptian State Security police. Hossam Arabawy posted the photos, but flickr removed them due to what they call copyright violations.
It appears that it is okay for employees at flickr to post photos that do not belong to them, but not ordinary users. Arabawy did, technically, violate the terms of service, but those terms aren’t always followed. I sense flickr didn’t want to deal with the consequences.
You can read the discussion on Slashdot.
You can view many pictures on imgur. You can download a pdf of all the photos. Links in the pdf will take you to min.us where there are hundreds more photos, courtesy of Anonymous. You can view them on Cryptome. You can download them from ge.tt.
These photos are being made by Leil-Zahra Mortada on Facebook. You can also find them here. I am merely putting a few up in case other websites cannot handle the load. Not everyone has a Facebook account. Many cannot even access Facebook due to their country’s restrictions on the site.
It is now being reported that the women have told the men to get some rest as many men have been awake for several days. The women will take over and continue to fight.
