The difference in this case is that the Pentagon, Citibank, and everyone else were the hackees. News of the World were the hackers. You can’t lump victim and perpetrator in the same category. This attempt at spin is so incredible that I’m near speechless.

Common apparently believes that the woman he is rapping about was wrongly convicted. He’s free to rap about such things if he wishes. If FOX News is complaining about Common, then it should also be complaining about Bob Dylan supporting murder in his song, Hurricane.

Nic Robertson points out that FOX journalists were never present at the site in question. He further states that the journalists that did go, did so on their own accord and were rushed out of the area as soon as they got their footage and information. Nic Robertson and all the other journalists who did go have every reason to be angry. It’s just another case of FOX News performing yellow journalism.

Sorry Fox, but Al Jazeera is not the propaganda machine in this scenario.

FOX News can claim all they want that their broadcast of last year’s video was a mistake. It wasn’t. FOX News continually pushes their own agenda even if they have to blatantly lie in their coverage and just make stuff up. While this probably comes as no surprise to many, there are those that watch FOX every day who do not think FOX would stoop this low.

What makes their supposed mistake so egregious is that the entire story centered around the amount of booing that Ron Paul received, when in fact it was not current footage at all.

In the video below, FOX News’ Fox and Friends removed the audio of laughs and adds the sounds of crickets. Fox and Friends then makes fun of President Obama, claiming that it sounded kind of quiet.

While it’s not surprising that FOX actually attempts to do such childish things, it is important to remember that censorship, of any kind, on a news program should never be allowed.
