Jerry Buell was reinstated today after getting legal support from Liberty Counsel, a Christian legal firm.

While I personally find Mr. Buell’s beliefs to be repugnant, this was something done on his own time on his own private facebook page. He should not have been suspended for what amounts to a free speech issue. Now, if he takes those beliefs into the classroom and starts discussing them, then there’s a problem.
