At DFW International Airport, an armed, undercover TSA agent walked through the full body scanner without the weapon being detected. The agent carried the loaded weapon in her undergarments and made it past the scanners multiple times.

“In this case where they had a test, and it was just a dismal failure as I’m told. As I’ve heard, you got a problem, especially with a fire arm,” warns American Airlines former head of security Larry Wansley.
Wansley said TSA covert testing is commonplace, though failing should be rare.
The TSA insider who blew the whistle on the test also said not one of the TSA agents who failed to spot the gun on the scanned image was disciplined. The source said those same agents continue to work the body scanners today.
That’s a problem, Wansley insists. “This was only a test, but it’s critically important that you do something, because if that person failed in the real environment then you have a problem.”
TSA agents we spoke with all agree, the body imaging scanners are effective, but only if the officers monitoring them are paying attention.
With even President Obama pushing for more money to install more full body scanners, one has to wonder if it’s just a way for the makers and investors of the machines to make money. The scanners clearly are not wanted, do not work as advertised, and are a huge waste of money.
If the TSA agent had gone through the metal detectors, she would have been caught.
