How sad is it that the DHS is now claiming that using cash and refusing to show a credit card for a transaction that you want to pay with in cash now labels you as suspicious and a possible terrorist.

The narrator of the video below tells us

“If a person appears nervous or anxious, refuses to show ID, or if the guest insists on paying with cash…alert your manager or security personnel…this is suspicious behavior”.

No, it’s not suspicious behavior. It’s perfectly normal to pay with cash. You don’t need to show ID for customary purchases. The ridiculousness of this video is appalling.

The entire video can be seen below. The convoluted scenarios are there only to incite fear in normal people. You exaggerate the circumstances and then make everyone suspicious.

The “See something, say something,” campaign is designed to keep you fearful so you do what the government instructs you to do. They want to be able to track you, so using cash deters their goals. Equating cash with terrorism accomplishes two goals. The government can monitor your movements and it makes you fear reprisal if you use cash.
