Some of the people speaking in this video by Michael Geist are science fiction author Karl Schroeder, Canadian Privacy Commissioner Jennifer Stoddart, Wide Mouth Mason drummer Safwan Javed, Lulu.com’s Bob Young, and Nettwerk music exec Terry McBride. Canadians have only three more weeks to speak up on the issue of copyright.

There is so much wrong with this case, where does one start?  Problems abound from the mother to the child to the police. This is a picture of her head after she got stitches.

The TSA has updated their site with new photos of the Millimeter Wave/Backscatter scans.  They are in more detail than I had thought and bother me a lot more than they originally did.

I do not want to be subjected to such scans, ever.  I don’t even want the TSA encouraging others to use the scanners until it becomes normal to go through these scans.  It is a huge invasion of privacy.

I admit it.  This site scares the crap out of me.  Several people I know are listed here.

New Jersey has a similar site.  Both of them are too transparent for my tastes.  Most of the people I know that are on that list are regular teachers.  They are just regular people going about their jobs, yet their salaries are listed and could now be potential targets to anyone with a grudge.

Soon, The Pirate Bay will turn over their database to another company looking to turn the site into a money making venture.  If you’re so inclined, you can grab a 21.3GB torrent of their entire database.  I don’t know why you’d need it, but it’s there if you want it.

There are currently 6 seeders and 3197 leechers on the torrent.  That’s 3203 people who want it for some use.
